Vangie Chavez is a native New Mexican born in Santa Fe and raised in the Catholic tradition.  Having left that childhood faith convention, she is now a non-denominational believer in Christ with a passion and calling to minister to, and on behalf of, God’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered community.

Ms. Chavez studied and received a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Trinity College of the Bible and Seminary. Her pursuit of continuing education to enhance her ministry includes attending numerous Christian conferences, workshops and spiritual renewals along with personal study and spiritual direction with her spiritual director and life coach.

Ms. Chavez has extensive background in ministry, having served 22 years in various leadership and ministry capacities at Metropolitan Community Church of Albuquerque and within the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches at the regional level.  She resides in Albuquerque with her life-partner, Traci Garcia.
