Rising Sun Ministries is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. 

MEET OUR DIRECTORS:

Paul McCright, PhD
Paul McCright is an engineer, an educator, a consultant, and a writer.  He has over 20 years’ experience in engineering and management education, has co-authored a textbook and many professional articles, and is currently focusing his professional efforts in environmental sustainability.

Raised in the Baptist faith, Paul has been a church choir member, interpreter to the deaf, convention delegate, and Sunday School teacher.  He attended Metropolitan Community Churches for almost 25 years.  In MCC he served on the Board of Directors at three churches for a total of 13 years, including approximately 5 years as Vice Moderator.  He has served three times on pastoral search committees, participated in lengthy church growth projects, developed and published congregational questionnaires, and organized special events. 

In his spare time, Paul enjoys creative writing, travel, and quiet time spent with his partner. Paul is the President of the Board of Directors of Rising Sun Ministries, Inc. 

Michael Chavez
Michael Chavez has a B.S. degree in Accounting.  He was employed for over 36 years with the federal government and held positions in tax accounting, human resources, and labor relations.  Prior to his retirement Mr. Chavez was the Resident Officer of the Las Vegas office of the National Labor Relations Board.  He retired from federal service in October 2005.  He is the Treasurer of Rising Sun Ministries, Inc.

Traci Garcia, LMHC
Traci Garcia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor having recieved a M.A. in Counseling and B.A Degrees in Psychology and in Womens Studies. She has seven years of experience in the tax and financial industry and brings strong organizational, writing, and communications skills to the ministry. Traci has a strong passion for sharing God’s love with the LGBT community. Traci is the Secretary of Rising Sun Ministries, Inc.

Peggy Holt
Peggy Holt, Investment Advisor Representative, began working in the financial services field in 1974. After buying out her business partner in 2001, Peggy created a Wealth Management Group that allows her to offer specialists in pre-retirement and retirement planning, investments, tax planning and estate planning.
A graduate of the Western CUNA Management School at Pomona College, she has served on the Financial Network National Advisory Board and is a candidate for CFP credentials. She is a member of FNIC’s Premier Client Division and has been an MVP since 2001. Peggy can be heard on 770 KKOB as a financial commentator.
A member of the Girl Scouts of America, volunteer for Operation Christmas Child, Wings for Life Ministry, BGEA and the NM Commission on the Status of Women she enjoys travel to Germany to visit her oldest son, Brandon. Her other son, Aaron, lives in Southern California with his family. Gardening, reading and spending time with grandsons, Noah and Jack at Disneyland, fill up her spare time. 

Jay R. Mueller
Jay Mueller is an attorney and counselor at Law with Jay R. Mueller & Associates in Albuquerque New Mexico. He has been a practicing attorney since 2002 and founded his law firm in May 2006. His law practice areas include but are not limited to personal injury plaintiff’s representation, select civil rights matters, Native American issues, criminal defense with emphasis on D.W.I. and drug crimes, and parole and probation issues.

He has authored legal documents published in the Tribal Law Journal at the University of New Mexico's School of Law. Jay is also a political activist, having served in various capacities with the Democratic Party of New Mexico.

Jay is an ordained priest at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit Evangelical Anglican Church in Albuquerque.
